Job Summary:

Oversees and manages ongoing small/medium projects schedules and budget. Drive internal project management processes. Seek opportunities to add value to the project delivery process while partnering with affiliate teams to deliver excellent spaces and infrastructure to meet the needs of the office and lab staff.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for the project management office functions and operations
  • Responsible for infrastructure and space small/medium project delivery as assigned.
  • Responsible for infrastructure and space project delivery as assigned.
  • Work in partnership with the engineering, maintenance, business operation partners and vendors to determine project scope and budget.
  • Responsible for managing vendors and holding them accountable to contract and scope requirements.
  • Responsible for engaging with procurement, finance, IT and security partners as it relates to project delivery.
  • Responsible for maintaining finance, schedule and related project databases as it pertains to each project delivery.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risk to manager as needed-escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.
  • Monitor project progress, following up with stakeholders on the completion or delay of project phases, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project documentation and reports.
  • Report all safety concerns
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing operational procedures and contribute to improving existing project processes.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

 

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Knowledgeable of building systems, design details, and its related coordination requirements with other disciplines.
  • Knowledge of construction safety in skills & abilities
  • Knowledge of commissioning process and requirements.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and building codes.
  • Able to prepare preliminary budgets and schedules based on limited initial information.
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication including presenting projects to executives or groups and developing concise, effective business cases for funding approval.
  • Work autonomously, able to manage time and to prioritize conflicts skillfully.
  • Able to exercise good judgment in support of FSS values and guiding principles.
  • Able to work in excess of 40 hours per week as workload and deadlines may require.
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong leadership skills in leading cross-functional project teams, supporting Facilities and RTI initiatives, and providing back- up support when supervisor is away.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to obtain proper security clearances as noted by contracts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma with 5+ years of experience OR Associates Degree in a trade plus 3 years of experience
  • Degree in Construction Management or similar industry
  • PMP desired or willingness to achieve this in future.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below. Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.
