Minimum qualifications: 
•    Master’s degree in political science, public policy, economics, science and technology policy, business administration, information science, international studies, or relevant field with at least 3 years of professional/research experience (e.g., internships, assistantships, fellowships, full-time employment); or a bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience. 
•    Demonstrated experience applying skills and techniques for science and technology policy analysis, scientometrics/bibliometrics, survey and interview data collection, and program evaluation.
•    Detailed understanding of science and innovation policy and funding of scientific programs and research infrastructure. 
•    Exemplary oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. If selected to interview for the position, writing samples will be required.
•    Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
•    The candidate must be authorized to work in the United States and must not now or in the future require sponsorship. 

The following are desirable, but not required:
•    Experience in a research, consulting, or similar setting requiring preparation of and delivery on grant and contract proposals and projects.
•    Experience with network analysis including (re)structuring network data, network statistics, and visualization of networks.
•    Experience conducting Social Cost-Benefit Analysis, from either a qualitative or quantitative perspective, and exposure to econometrics. 
•    Detailed understanding of venture-backed start-ups and the entrepreneurial process, regional and national innovation systems, federal and academic technology transfer, value chain enhancement programs in low- and middle-income countries, global health, climate change, environmental justice, and racial and geographic equity.
•    Proficiency working with relational databases and statistical software such as R, Stata, and SAS.
•    Proficiency in Python or a comparable scripting language to perform machine learning tasks (such as text analysis) or automated processes (such as web-scraping)
•    Experience with Qualtrics, Alchemer, or other web-based survey data collection platform.
