The Fixed Asset and Lease Accountant will have strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of all data input into the fixed asset subledger and RTI’s lease management software.

Essential Duties:
  • Record newly acquired fixed assets, track existing assets and account for the disposition of assets.
  • Responsible for the accounting and classification of leases in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Responsible for independent compilation of specific reporting at month-end, including performance of reconciliations and preparing the fixed asset rollforward. 
  • Complete tasks with little guidance and be able to assist in special projects and contribute to team innovation and process improvement.
  • Compile financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.  
  • Communicate with internal customers for completion of tasks and analysis.  
  • Adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with internal customers as needed and build appropriate relationships to complete tasks.  
  • Usually will have ownership of specific sub ledger reporting or analysis.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in fixed asset accounting or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills and Abilities:
  • Deltek CostPoint experience is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to obtain proper security clearances as noted by contracts.
