Required Qualifications:

High School diploma and 6 years of related work experience; Associate Degree and 6 years of related work experience; Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of related work experience; or Master’s Degree and 2 years of related work experience.

Required Skills and Abilities: 
  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting, operating and/or maintaining HVAC systems and DDC Control Systems 
  • Ability to work during adverse weather conditions as an essential employee.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces, on different height roofs and may need to climb ladders and scaffolds 
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Preferred:
  • 10 years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting, operating and/or maintaining HVAC systems and DDC Control Systems 
  • 10 years of lab experience
  • 5+ years of commissioning buildings (preferable lab and/or Central plants)
  • Ability to obtain Preferred Energy Managers License within first two years of employment
  • At least 5 years programming and installing in Siemens Desigo software systems
  • Experience performing air balance to lab systems (Preferred but not required)
  • Experience performing ASHRAE 110 (Preferred but not required)
  • Ability to become a member of ASHRAE and attend monthly local meetings
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of CPR/First Aid.
  • Knowledge of and understanding of HAZMAT awareness including recognition of potential hazardous materials. 
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a service oriented environment subject to frequently changing priorities
  • Ability to work accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or in teams as well as with diverse group.
  • Ability to obtain proper security clearances as noted by contracts.
  • Understand electrical systems, read blueprints, and schematics
