Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, development, business, or a related field and minimum of six (6) years’ of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and four (4) years’ experience working with international development implementors, particularly on USG-funded proposals/programs.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated success in proposal development for USAID and other international donors required, preferably in the energy, natural resources, or lifelong learning sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience writing donor-funded technical proposals, including for USAID;
  • Excellent writing skills, as demonstrated through positive client feedback and/or winning proposals;
  • Experience in knowledge management systems (experience with systems such as Salesforce and SharePoint, in particular);
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure and manage multiple tasks and competing priorities;
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems easily; proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Salesforce is desirable, though not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving attitude, and ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team player;
  • Experience working or studying in developing countries desirable;
  • Domestic and international travel is required; 
  • Native English fluency required; fluency in French and/or Spanish preferred.
