  • Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, contract research, consulting to the pharmaceutical industry, or related area in Pharmaceutical Policy, Pharmacy Administration, Economics, Health Economics, Biostatistics, or a related field.  PhD desirable.
  • Experience in performing clinical and economic systematic literature reviews according to HTA guidelines such as NICE .
  • Familiarity of HTA guidances such as G-BA (AMNOG) (mandatory), NICE, SMC, and/or HAS.
  • Experience related to the German healthcare system, reimbursement (AMNOG), or regulatory approval submission, as well as experience of the ethics process within Germany.
  • Experience related to creating reimbursement submissions for pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices for multiple countries in the EU and other countries.
  • Experience/familiarity with in primary data collection studies; analysis of health care claims, registries, or survey data from the outcomes perspective; cost-effectiveness and budget impact modeling using decision modeling approaches such a Markov and simulation; and cost-of-illness studies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team; excellent analytical and interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) in English and German.

Physical and mental demands of this role include those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, as outlined above.  Examples include:  remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time; operating a computer and other office machinery; thinking, learning, and concentrating effectively and frequently communicating with other people, both within RTI and outside of RTI; frequently moving about inside and travel between offices and laboratories; frequently conducting laboratory site inspections (if applicable), ability to handle the stress associated in meeting frequent, multiple and tight deadlines, ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week as workload and deadlines may require, consistent demonstration of mental stability and ability to have regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
